Osage orange is native to the south-central United States where it grows to 60 feet in height with a 2-foot trunk diameter. Its heartwood is golden to bright yellow. It is popular for archery bows and is sometimes called Bois d’arc, which literally means “bow wood” in American French. It also produces more BTUs when burned than any other domestic hardwood and so is sometimes used as fuelwood. Osage is pronounced oh-sage or wah-zah-zhay.
This standout design has a wider center band and a silicone comfort grip. Epoxy coating on 24-karat gold plating ensures extreme durability.
Accepts Cross-style ballpoint refills.
